Most TV Celebs dream to enter in Bollywood they also works to the minute details for this. But there are some small screen stars who do not want to go to the movies or don’t like the character they have offered. Take a look at some TV stars who refused Bollywood films offers:
1.Mrunal Thakur
Mrunal Thakur started her career with the superhit television show ‘Kumkum Bhagya’ and later appeared on a dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’ with ex Sharad Tripathi. She’s currently waiting for the release of her Hollywood debut, ‘Love Soniya’.
Mrunal has been earlier considered as the female lead in Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer “Thugs of Hindostan” but she turned it down. Aditya Chopra was so keen to cast her that he offered her a three-film deal which would hamper her international career so she refuse the offer. What’s more Mrunal had even auditioned for Sultan opposite Salman Khan but that didn’t fall out well.
2. Karan Tacker
Karan Tacker is one of the most well-known actors on Indian television. Karan was offered the Dharma production upcoming film ‘Student of the Year 2’, in which he was offered negative role. But Karan had refused this negative role. He says, “ [Acting in] films is definitely what I am looking at doing next. But I can’t talk about the film right now.”
3. Surbhi Chandna
Surbhi Chandna who is currently playing the titular character of Annika in the popular show ‘Ishqbaaaz’, was last seen in the film ‘Bobby Jasoos’ with Vidya Balan. She opted to feature in a TV show rather than a Bollywood movie. She feels “TV has a bigger reach than films”. She said: “I had offers from Bollywood specifically to star in various movies”.
“TV is the next big thing. It has a bigger reach and popularity than films because of which I chose to continue my stint on television and not venture into films,” Surbhi said in a statement.
4. Aishwarya Sakhuja
Small screen actress Aishwarya Sakhuja entered the entertainment industry with big dreams and Bollywood was her first goal. She had initially auditioned for Shah Rukh Khan starrer hit film ‘Chak De India’ in which she faced rejection. TV actors are slowly drifting towards Bollywood, but it is not the case with Aishwarya. She is comfortable doing television and is not looking forward to coming in films anytime soon.
