n 2006, Mahima got married to architect Bobby Mukherjee. Shortly after marrying Bobby, she happily announced her pregnancy news. After this the news was in the media that Mahima had already been pregnant before marriage, that is why he was married in hush rush ceremony. However, Mahima never accept this.

She is a mother of 8-year-old daughter Ariana. However, both of them are now separated.

Mahima also dated Indian tennis player Leander Paes before she broke up with his husband Bobby Mukherjee,due to his affair with then-married Rhea Pillai.Both have been dating for about seven years. It is said that in the affair of Paes, Mahima had put his film career at stake. However, both were later broken up.

During the promotion of the 2016 film ‘Dark Chocolate’, she spoke openly about his relationship with Paes. She said “Leander Paes betrayed her. He is a good tennis player but not as good as a human being. When I came to know that there is another woman around him, I was shocked. His departure did not make any difference to my life, but now I have become more sensible and mature”.
