The actress became an instant favourite for how impeccably she played the role of a visually and orally impaired girl who overcomes these challenges courageously. She is now 22 years old and a Liberal Arts student at Columbia University, New York.
Ayesha took a break from films to focus on education, but is open to acting offers since she has a “flexible schedule”; and hopefully we’ll see her on silver screen soon.
For her first movie Black, Ayesha Kapur became the recipient of many Awards in the “Best Supporting Actress” category. In doing so, she became the second youngest (behind Darsheel Safary) person to be both nominated and win a Filmfare Award and is currently the youngest person ever to win a Zee Cine Award and an IIFA Award.
