Recent Padmashree winner, Akshay Kumar is a famous name in the industry today. But, he was popular as Mr. Casanova in Bollywood before he got hitched with actress Twinkle Khanna, who is the daughter of Dimple Kapadia and Rajesh Khanna, both very famous actors from yesteryears. Soon after his marriage, the actor changed his image drastically and became a complete family man and the best husband. After marrying Akshay, Twinkle decided to say goodbye to her acting career. Within no time she established herself as a blogger, author, and an interior designer. She has a credit of authoring two books under her belt and has turned a producer with forthcoming movie ‘Padman’ starring her husband Akshay Kumar.

Ever since they got married this power couple has professed their love for each other time and again on many platforms, giving serious relationship goals to the fans and followers. Akshay and Twinkle are together for two decades. However, they first met during a shoot for Filmfare magazine, in Mumbai. The moment Mr. Khiladi saw Twinkle he got mesmerized and had an instant crush on her.

In 1999 during the shoot of ‘International Khiladi’, the two realized that they have started to like each other. On a popular talk show, Akshay was asked what was it that made Twinkle say yes to him. He revealed that Twinkle was confident that her film ‘Mela’ which came in the year 2000 will be successful at the box office. She said she would marry him if the film didn’t work. Luckily, the film bombed like anything and they got hitched on 17 January 2001. Today they are parents to two wonderful kids. They have a son Aarav who was born in the year 2002 and a daughter Nitara who was born in the year 2012.
