In 2006, she was crowned the winner of the Miss Universe Sri Lanka pageant and represented Sri Lanka at the world Miss Universe 2006 pageant held in Los Angeles. In the same year she appeared in a famous music video for the song “O Sathi” by music duo Bathiya and Santhush.

Jacqueline made her Hindi film debut with 2009 film ‘Aladin’ playing the character of Jasmine. The film also starred Riteish Deshmukh and megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Although the film was a critical and commercial failure, she won the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female.
