Ayushmann Khurana and Parineeti Chopra starrer ‘Meri Pyari Bindu‘ have been released in theaters today. This is the Bollywood film maker Akshay Roy’s debut as Director. Earlier, he had directed Short Videos ‘All Is Well’ and ‘Teacher 3.0’. Parineeti Chopra and Ayushmann Khurrana can be seen on-screen for the first time in romantic comedy “Meri Pyaari Bindu”.

Story of the movie:

The film starts with Abhimanyu aka Bubla (Ayushmann Khurrana) who is an adult book writer trying to make his next book ready. Despite his massive success in the genre Abhimanyu is an unhappy, sad man. Hence he returns to his hometown in Kolkata to write his next book with more meaningful literature and decides to write an old-fashioned love story.

The story of the film starts from Abhimanyu and Bindu living in neighbourhood in Kolkata, who love each other since childhood. One day, the mother of Bindu is suddenly killed in an accident, for which she doubts her father and leaves the house. Abhimanyu’s heart brokes completely. There are many twists in their love-story. Does Abhimanyu find his love? You need to watch the movie to know.

Direction of the film:

As a director, Akshay Roy has done a fabulous job. He has shown the places of Mumbai and Kolkata with serene beauty. The story is not new, but the way to present it is new.

Star-cast Performance

Parineeti and Ayushmann play their characters very convincingly and the situations are pretty humourous. What also keeps us gelled is Parineeti! Bindu may be a portrait of a bubbly girl, ‘full of life’, but Parineeti can act! Her face is so expressive and it’s a joy to watch her emotional side. Ayushman Khurana and Parineeti Chopra have done a good job. The rest of the artists are also fit in their own roles.

Music of the film:

The music of the film is good and does not affect the speed of the story. The background score is outstanding. It adds that flavour of a quirky romcom and keeps you glued.

What’s Good:

The bubbling chemistry between the two is a must watch. The songs became an instant hit and the picturisation makes the Akshay Roy directorial a treat to watch. These are two actors who do full justice to their characters and the story of their lives.

Final Verdict:

Parineeti and Ayushmann look mesmerizing together. Apart from this the way of telling story is new. The movie can be viewed atleast once.
